2. Introduction:

Five-hundred years ago, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu appeared in Navadvīpa Dhāma to freely distribute Kṛṣṇa-prema to everyone. With an abundant overflow of mercy and compassion, the golden volcano of divine love, Gaurāṅga Mahāprabhu, enchanted all types of people from rogues to royalty. He melted their hearts with His indescribable beauty, tender loving dealings, and His ecstatic chanting and dancing.

Just as an erupting volcano produces a tidal wave, from Navadvīpa Dhāma, Lord Caitanya inaugurated a tidal wave of prema-bhakti to drown the world in divine ecstasy. Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu lives forever in Navadvīpa Dhāma flooding the land with His boundless mercy and blessings. By Gaurāṅga’s grace, that rarest and most valuable treasure, Kṛṣṇa-prema, is easily attainable in Navadvīpa Dhāma.

Śrīla Prabhupāda introduced us to the wonderfully sweet and merciful home of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. For centuries, Navadvīpa Dhāma had remained covered like a hidden lotus bud locking its nectar, beauty, and fragrance within its folded petals. By purely serving Lord Caitanya’s desire to spread the holy name around the world, Śrīla Prabhupāda has caused the golden lotus of Navadvīpa Dhāma to unfold.

Now the eyes of the bee-like devotees worldwide are attracted and landing on the thousand petals of that beautiful golden lotus. Smelling the enchanting fragrance of Gaurāṅga-prema emanating from that lotus, the bees become intoxicated and start madly buzzing; their wings vibrating the sweet sound of Kṛṣṇa-nāma. As the ambrosial nectar of the name enters their ears and falls on their hearts in continuous drops, the bees, bursting with bliss, begin dancing joyfully in the center of that lotus.

“Jai Śacīnandana! Gaurahari! Jai Śacīnandana! Gaurahari!” No other sound can be heard.

Faults, problems, difficulties, hesitations, reservations, doubts, illusion, fear, anxiety, lust, anger, greed, and envy quickly disappear when one lands on that golden lotus of good fortune.

Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura says; “I stand here to speak only if I may thereby serve the servants of Śrī Gaurāṅga. Indeed, if we can truly serve the feet of the devotees of Śrī Gaurāṅga, by whose graceful glance alone all desires, hopes and aims in life are easily fulfilled, then that will be a crowning achievement.”
